When local hotelier Oxford Hotel Group, which operates a small chain of hotels, inns, and suites in 14 cities throughout the West, decided to open its flagship boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Bend, DVA was tapped to make sure there was no shortage of heads in beds at this 59-suite property. Convincing visitors to pay a premium for lodging, in some cases, more than double what they were used to paying, was no small task. DVA’s marriage of Bend’s reputation as an outdoor mecca with the refinement and sophistication of the city’s only AAA Four-Diamond property, resonated strongly with affluent travelers. Visitors continue to flock to the property, which was recently ranked the country’s No. 3 hotel in the 2017 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards.
