Snohomish County is big. How big? If it were a state, it would still be larger than Delaware. Encompassing more than 2,100 square miles from the peaks of Washington’s Cascade Mountains to the shores of Puget Sound, Snohomish County isn’t the kind of place you visit – it’s the kind of place you discover.

In between the mountains and the sea, you’ll find fertile river valleys and sprawling farmland, a mix of rural and urban experiences, a deeply-rooted Indigenous culture, and even the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer.

The task of defining a destination that’s so vast not only in size, but also in experiences, regions, communities, and offerings is not for the faint of heart. Which is exactly why DVA jumped at the opportunity to do so.

Keeping in line with the county’s vastness and in an effort to separate itself further from its neighbor to the south, we started with a rebranding of the destination from Seattle NorthCountry to Discover Snohomish County.

Once the rebrand was complete, we set out to develop a campaign that defined a destination that’s not a single spot on a map. Rather, it’s an amalgam of the entire Pacific Northwest experience, distilled into one unforgettable place, spread across five regions. Every region brings its own personality, its own attitude, its own vibe. And when those pieces come together, they create something far richer than what most people expect. A place where visitors aren’t merely suggested to roam, they’re invited and encouraged to:

Roam Boldly.

To Roam Boldy is to go all in. It’s a push to break from the routine, get outside the scroll, and explore this place. The coast, the cities, the mountains, and the towns that are the pieces that make Snohomish County whole.

Roam Boldly leans into that same spirit. Each region gets its own color and its own moment, and together they blend into an experience that’s unmistakably, unapologetically Snohomish County.
